1 Peter: Learning to Live as Exiles

article_image_full

In the biblical letter we know as First Peter, the Apostle Peter wrote to believers who were learning to live as exiles in this world. They were struggling with persecution. They were struggling with rejection. They were struggling with ridicule. They were struggling with hostility. They were struggling with being seen as weird and different. They were struggling with being resented by their neighbors. In other words, they were struggling with how to remain faithful to God in a society that encouraged the opposite and among people who looked suspiciously at those who refused to assimilate to their cultural standards. Peter’s message, therefore, is very timely and relevant for Christians today. Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. as we learn to live as exiles.
