At Monte Sano Baptist Church, it is important to us that we are teaching people what it means to really follow Jesus Christ—not to just say, “I am a Christian,” but to really follow Jesus Christ. And that is exactly what our Discipleship Groups are all about. By coming together every week as a group, and exploring the life and teachings of Jesus contained in the pages of Scripture, we help and encourage one another, to not only become more devoted followers of Jesus Christ, but to also become disciples who make disciples. We hope that you will join us every Sunday night at 5:30 p.m. (Click here for more information including meeting locations.)
Expedition for Youth
Students in the 6th grade and up meet each Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. for a time of Bible study and prayer. This time of Bible study also makes use of the Gospel Project for Students curriculum. The Gospel Project for Students helps to develop and equip students with a deeper understanding of Scripture and how the story of Jesus Christ ties it all together. In every week and in every lesson, students will encounter the gospel through the in-depth study of Bible, theology, and missions, with the view of seeing how all the Scriptures point to Jesus, and how the gospel has the ability to transform their lives.
Awana is a ministry that helps parents and churches raise children and youth to know, love, and serve Christ. Children and youth have fun playing age-appropriate games, and memorizing Bible verses in an organized, topical system, and participating in large-group Bible teaching. Every Wednesday from 6:00-7:30. Ages 4 years old to 5th grade.
We have Children’s Church during our regular Sunday morning worship time. Children begin their worship time each Sunday with their parents in the sanctuary and are dismissed to children’s church before the sermon.
