Genesis is a book about beginnings. And Genesis 1-11 contains the story of the beginning of the world and the beginning of humankind.

In this sermon series, we’ll look at what the Bible has to say about God’s work of creation and talk about what it means for the crowning achievements of his creation—human beings—to have been made in his image. We will also discuss the importance of believing what the Bible says about Adam and Eve and the serious theological implications of not viewing them as literal and historical people. And we will be reminded of the cosmic catastrophe that occurred as a consequence of their sin. But most importantly, we will be reminded of the promises God made, from the very beginning, to restore the world and restore humanity through a coming Savior.

Join us on Sunday, September 10th, at 10:30 a.m. as we embark on a journey to grasp what it means when the Bible opens with the words, “In the beginning, God…”
